Our Women’s History Month series celebrating female MFour employees around the world continues with Anna Gorobets. As the survey operations manager, Anna helps keep our survey app consumers satisfied, engaged, heard, and understood. When she’s not working, she loves to practice yoga or sing silly songs with her little one.
What do you do at MFour?
I started my journey with MFour as a junior team member in operations. Over the years I have been given numerous opportunities to try my hand at various company business units and endeavors. Currently, I am managing my favorite consumer care unit where we are providing direct support for consumer help requests, validating survey responses, and synthesizing feedback and data for internal teams.
What do you enjoy most about your role at MFour?
I enjoy everything life brings me during my working hours. I love being helpful to our consumers and team members. I appreciate the challenges we’re facing and solving jointly. I am excited to be involved in the company’s innovations and late-night huddles. But what I love the most is the space and authority to craft new ideas that I am always given at MFour.
What’s something that has surprised you about working at MFour?
Too many things to count but first and foremost the unique atmosphere of the company where every employee, client, or consumer feels valued, heard and recognized. Also, how gracefully everyone in MFour overcomes minor and bigger troubles – no one knows anything about the word panic. However, everyone is aware of plan B, backup, or alternative solutions.
What is your favorite MFour Studio feature?
I love that you can find answers to almost every question you might have. Trust me sometimes those answers may astonish you! For example, the other day I was browsing Studio discovering the difference in health habits among different generations. What amazed me is that the younger generation considers themselves healthy in fewer instances than people over 50. The Studio is like an endless library of biographies and its’ diversity and breadth are what fascinate me.
How would you describe your leadership style?
I would say caring and fair. I always tend to treat people the same way I want to be treated myself. It’s important to me that I have a team where everyone feels secure, independent, and understood. Share knowledge, ideas, and information. And of course, care for everyone floating in your little boat. Genuine care is the key to creating unbreakable team bonds, mutual respect, and trust.
What does work-life balance mean to you?
I remember my first interview at MFour where I was asked when I could come into the office. I had a newborn then and mentioned that I would need some time before I could travel. After that our CEO told me that at MFour they appreciate work-life balance and family always comes first. He said to take my time and to come to the office when I could. Eventually, my kid turned five and she followed her mom’s example in everything she did. And I managed to continue improving myself at work, building a beautiful team, and not missing a single day of my kid’s life.
Do you have any advice for the next generation of female leaders?
Accept new opportunities and responsibilities with passion. Never say “no,” “I can’t,” or “that’s impossible.” Stay open-minded, imaginative, and forever young!
