MFour Profile: Dennis Kim, Operations
As the Survey Operations Manager, Dennis Kim identifies process and automation solutions and manages a team of programmers and project managers that keep the company’s day-to-day operations running smoothly. Outside of MFour, Dennis keeps himself busy practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and raising his 18-month-old foster daughter.
How did you get into a career in survey operations?
I fell into it by accident in a way. I did not know I would pursue a career in market research until I was exposed to MFour. I got my first taste of it at MFour and fell in love.
What brought you to MFour?
I’ve been with MFour for more than eight years now but when I was first referred by our current SVP of Enterprise Solutions, Andrew Fang, I hadn’t yet heard about it. MFour was looking for a project manager at the time.
What do you do at MFour
I am currently the Survey Operations Manager. I specifically manage the Survey Programming & Data team as well as the Core & Tracker team. The SP&D team programs our most complicated questionnaires into our proprietary SOTG platform as well as processes data deliverables to meet our client’s needs. The Core & Tracker team manages the success of both Ad Hoc and repeating tracker projects.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I love the people I get to work with daily. My teams are filled with talented individuals that have so much potential for growth.
Who inspires you professionally?
I surround myself with people who inspire me, particularly my direct peers and leaders here at MFour. Every day I learn that there is so much I can improve on, and I learn that through the example of my supervisors and our company’s executives. I have been with this company eight years and every year feels like a different evolution because of what I am able to pick up from our amazing management staff.
What’s a fun fact about yourself?
I love dogs and making experimental cocktails for friends.
