MFour Profile: Melisa Bhagwandin, Product Design
Our Women’s History Month series celebrating female MFourers continues with Melisa Bhagwandin, who is a part of our design team supporting product and tech. She played an integral role in helping to launch Persona Views™. When Melisa is not at work, she loves going hiking at national parks and is an avid movie watcher (especially of superhero movies).
How did you get into Product Design?
I started working as a graphic designer and then web designer for fun while studying medicine. I really enjoyed it. Eventually my passion for design grew and I dove deeper into the UI/UX space professionally.
How did you hear about MFour?
I first came across MFour through an Indeed email as I was looking for job opportunities. I began as a contractor and was later converted to full time.
What do you do at MFour?
I am the Product Design Manager at MFour and manage the product design team. I am responsible for overseeing discovery, design, and research efforts as they are related to the digital products – primarily MFour Studio products and the SOTG app.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I enjoy the overall design process and working with a great team at MFour. Everyone is very collaborative and has great ideas to contribute. There is always great feedback which help to make the designs better.
What does International Women’s Day mean to you?
For me, it’s about supporting and celebrating the achievements of all women.
What is one of your favorite memories at MFour?
The Persona Views Insight-a-thon! I love a good competition and it was a great opportunity to get together with the team.
What advice would you give a new MFourer?
Put in the effort to understand the product and lean on your team for support. For me, understanding the market research world can be challenging, but the team is really supportive with answering questions and make sure that the information is clear.
What’s an interesting fact about yourself?
I am a huge Disney fan!
